HI all! I realize I haven't blogged in over a year. And that's because I don't think that I have the time or anything interesting to say. I read so many fitness blogs and I want to be just like them!! I'll probably never have a wide fan base, but, I'm going to start right now sharing my thoughts, etc when I do have time or think that they would interest/inspire someone! No guarantees that I will post daily, but I'll try to post more regularly.
So far, 2013 has been a little rough for me. I didn't make any New Year's Resolutions this year since most of them fail anyways. I didn't really set any huge goals either besides trying to get a better grip on my diet AGAIN!! As some of you know, I lost a lot of weight in 2007 and have successfully kept most of it off. Well, my sweet hubs wanted to lose some weight, so last weekend, he bought a new digital scale. I offered to demonstrate and was horrified when I saw my current weight!! Now, I'm knew my eating was out of control lately and that I had gained some weight, but I didn't realize how much. Time for my fat ass to start working on diet and exercise again. So, this week I've made a conscious effort to eat better. I'm logging my calories in My Fitness Pal and have successfully stuck to a 1200 calorie diet with NO cookies!! A fit, healthy body is built in the kitchen, baby!!
I've also come to the sad realization that I need to start doing some other form of exercise instead of running exclusively. I LOVE running but I don't think that it builds enough muscle and I think that I sets me up for injury if I don't include some form of cross training. So, this week I started the Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred and this morning I did her Boost Metabolism and Burn Fat workout. I'll tell you what!! My thermostat was set on 60 and my ass was sweating!! I had to go outside in the freezing rain just to cool down after this workout!!
Well, that's all I've got for now. I've got to run grocery shop and meal plan for next week!! TTFN
