About Me

Well hello there.
Thank you for taking time to stop by my little corner of the interwebs
and for taking time to read my story.
I hope you enjoy it.

Theresa is a busy wife, mother and grandmother who embarked on a journey to a healthier life-style and discovered her passion for running.

She was raised in Perry, OK where she was a member of the Perry High School band and chorus. Athletics were not her forte' at that time. She later worked as an RN in the emergency room at Perry Memorial Hospital.

Her love of running started in 2011 when she "ran" (mostly walked) her first race, a 10k. That was when she realized that running was actually fun and she bagen to pursue her new interest with enthusiasm. She joined a Couch to 5k type program and worked her way up from running a 5k to her first half marathon.

Today, she is a certified running coach. She leads the Pathways PW3 10k group at Fleet Feet Sports Tulsa. She has run multiple 5k's, 10k's, 15k's and half marathons including the recent Williams Route 66 Half Marathon. Her goal is to complete a half marathon/marathon in all 50 states. To date, she has completed 10 half marathons in 6 states including Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Louisiana, and Iowa and she is currently training for the 2014 Little Rock Marathon.

  1. Theresa,
My name is Gracie Updyke and I came across your blog this evening. First off... I loved it. But I wanted to take a minute and share with you something big. I'm on Kickstarter, right now, bringing back Gracie's Gear. Gracie's Gear are sports bra's and tanks with a convenient zipper pocket like nobody else.
The video will share my whole story with you. From one runner to another, I appreciate any and all support.

  3. Hello, My name is Matthew Miscione

Recently I lost a good friend, Lindsey, to cancer and in her honor I joined Fred’s Team and am running a half marathon in New York City on March 16, 2014 to raise money for Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Lindsey fought a courageous battle against this insidious disease but unfortunately passed away in October 2013 at the young age of 26. It was her goal to run the NYC half for Fred's team.

My running partner in this event is Christina Scatchell, also a close friend to Lindsey. We have learned a painful lesson this past year and it would be great if you could help us reach their very ambitious goal.

The links below takes you to our personal page for the event as well as our own blog about training for the half marathon. I was hoping that you could help us spread the word about our blog and the donation page we would be extremely thankful.

    Sincerely,

    Matthew
